Hand painted in Gouache and giclee printed on finest quality artist’s paper, my pictures combine the principles of mathematics with the shapes and forms of the natural world. To me, as a graduate botanist, it is a natural partnership. Every picture is created using traditional geometric instruments, my scientific knowledge, my own imagination, and a painstaking hand.  I do not use a computer in any of my art.

My pictures are produced using giclee printing with inks which should last a lifetime without fading. Every one of my prints (which are usually A3 or less in size) is verified by my unique embossed logo JM (as at top left of this page) for complete authenticity.

I work with my trusted and highly experienced print company, Eyes Wide Digital (www.eyeswidedigital.com), to ensure that every customer enjoys:

Vibrant colours: I use the highest quality scans to reproduce my work, for which I usually choose Winsor and Newton Gouache paint.

High quality paper: Manufacture: Cylinder mould made ingredients: 100% cotton. Longevity: Acid free & archival. Calcium carbonate buffered pH 7-9 full details here.

Professional quality ink: HP Vivera Pigment Ink, which will resist fading for more than 200 years on a variety of media.

When you purchase one of my prints, it will be posted to you unmounted, in protective packaging. This usually takes about 10-15 working days after receipt of payment. This allows the necessary time and care to ensure that every print truly reflects the original. It also allows you to choose your own mount and frame to suit both the artwork and the interior where you plan to display it.
